What are backups, and why do I need to backup my site?
Backups are snapshots of your website database and files (content, media, themes, and plugins) which are stored for 90 days. It ensures you always have a way to bring your website back online should any issue come up from errors, incompatibilities, or exploits.
Are backups actually needed?
Yes! On average backups are used to restore either the full website or partial files at least once in its lifetime.
Do you only provide maintenance for websites you made?
Nope! A large portion of the websites we maintain we didn’t build. We’re more than happy to provide support for any WordPress website.
What if I need more than 1 hour of content updates per month?
No problem! If you request changes that will take us beyond the 1 hour we’ll inform you before continuing. At that point any content updates that month will be charged at our hourly rate ($150/hr).
What if my website wasn't built with WordPress?
Our maintenance plan was built around supporting WordPress websites.
Does the 1 hour of content updates roll over?
Sorry, no. The included 1 hour of content updates must be used in that calendar month, they don’t roll over/accrue if not used.
What’s included in content updates?
Content updates are updating the content of your website – text, images, adding new blog posts, updating prices or hours, etc. It doesn’t include graphic design work, SEO work, designing and building new features and pages of your site, custom development or coding work.
What if my website is hosted somewhere else?
We’re happy to help support websites hosted with other providers, we’ll just need delegate access in order to connect our software.
What are theme and plugin updates?
WordPress, themes, and plugins are consistently being updated to add features, solve bug fixes, and fix security vulnerabilities. Thus, this software needs to be updated when new updates are available in order to function properly and securely.
What if I just need one-time updates or minor work done on my site?
If you’re just looking for one-time updates or minor work to be done this would be charged at our hourly rate ($150/hr). Maintenance is specifically for ongoing, recurring monthly support and content updates.
What are the payment terms?
Pretty simple – your subscription is billed on the 1st of each for that month’s maintenance services. If you want to cancel maintenance at any time, you just have to let us know. For more in-depth details, feel free to read our full terms of service.
When will content updates be completed once I send them?
Quickly! For most changes, we aim to get it done as quickly as possible, often in the same business day but can take up to 3 days. If you have something time sensitive, just let us know before hand so we can work around the needed schedule.
